The MVP Photon is a stable-overstable high speed distance driver.
The MVP Photon is basically a longer Tesla. Therefore, it makes power throwers able to achieve some flight extending turn. On the other hand, all throwers get a reliable fade. The Photon is naturally headwind resistant but average power throwers can use a headwind to emulate those extended flights of high-power throwers.
MVP’s 21mm Distance Driver class hit the scene at fever pitch for demand of high-speed GYRO® distance drivers, and for powerful throwers, the Photon hits a highly usable sweet spot of stability. With enough power or mitigating wind, the Photon can exhibit a nice flight-extending shallow turnover. Typically, the Photon is used for high power straight shots with an ending fade.

The MVP Photon is available in Proton, Neutron, Cosmic Neutron, Plasma, and Fission plastic.
Proton plastic is Axiom’s premium plastic. Therefore, these discs have the highest durability for a long consistent life. They withstand the roughest conditions and improve low visibility in low light conditions.
The Plasma plastic is an advanced disc golf polymer. Visually, it shines a metallic sheen on core plastic. Moreover, Some molds feature “Color-shift” tones in select color options. The feel features a semi-gummy and grippy flex polymer. Furthermore, the discs have very high durability with this premium blend.
Neutron plastic is MVP’s flagship plastic. The blend offers a premium look and feel while giving the widest selection of bright opaque colors. However, it shares great durability with the Proton plastic. The discs come in easy-to-find colors in any given terrain.
Cosmic Neutron plastic is the premium Neutron plastic with a Cosmic Swirl! The discs come in a plethora of premium color enhanced bright color swirls. However, this plastic shares its durability with Neutron and Proton plastic. Excellent choice for custom stamping.
Fission™ Microbubble Technology produces an ultralight core with evenly distributed and imperceptible weight reduction microbubbles. The ultralight core allows an even higher GYRO® overmold density relative to the core, yet still remaining in the lighter weight classes — 135g to 165g in the Photon.
This produces an entirely new type of lightweight disc never before seen in the sport, and beyond the capability of any other manufacturer. Weight distribution, stability, and durability of prior “bubble” discs are all improved upon by Fission. Skeptics of prior light or bubble plastics, for instance Blizzard or Air, are in for a surprise. That’s because Fission brings advanced disc physics and true high-tech molding into the lightweight plastics arena.
