Need a little Gateway Magic in your game? This is a great disc for beginners. This straight flying putt and approach disc will help your game as it has minimal end of flight low speed fade. The Magic is easy to throw. The rim is designed with a gyroscopic weight distribution and a blunt nose that allows it to maintain its spinning motion longer. This great putter is available in several different Gateway plastics.
Flight Numbers:
- Speed: 2
- Glide: 3
- Turn: -1
- Fade: 0
The Gateway Magic is currently available in Super Soft, Super Stupid Soft, and Super Stupid Silly Soft plastic.
Super Soft (SS) The 2S putt & approach discs are slightly stiff in the rim and pliable in the flight plate. These discs flex in half at 14-18 lbs of pressure. Additionally they cover a wide range of putting styles. Furthermore, they are firm enough for driving and lay up shots.
Super Stupid Soft (SSS) The 3S putt & approach discs are flexible in both the rim and flight plate. Flexing in half at 9-13 lbs of pressure. This flex is perfect for flick putters and chest putting where thumb pressure is applied to the flight plate and the discs are sprung out of the hand upon release.
Super Stupid Silly Soft (SSSS) The Super Stupid Silly Soft plastic is finally actually soft. It isn’t the craziest soft plastic on the market but it is a lot softer than a lot of plastics on the market. This baseline plastic offers a great grip and enough flexibility to hit and sit wherever it lands. It reminds me a lot of Classic Soft plastic from DD or Putter Blend Soft from Discraft.
