Divergent Overstable Putt & Approach

The Divergent Golem is an ultra overstable approach disc in a super flexible silicone blend that glows in the dark. This disc handles power, manages wind, and has a consistent fade. Because of its overstability, you’ll have a consistent flight in almost all wind conditions.

The Divergent Golem is a great utility disc to use on hilly approach shots with a high chance of roll-aways. Furthermore, this disc also works well for tight greens and limited landing spaces where you need to stay close to the pin. The flexible StayPut Glow plastic absorbs energy and limits ground play.  Therefore, these discs will “stay put” where they land.

This glow edition of the Divergent Golem is available in a bright green color that is easy to see for day play, but is designed for disc golf rounds after dark. For best glow performance, use with a UV flashlight.

Flight Numbers:

  • Speed: 4
  • Glide: 2
  • Turn: 0
  • Fade: 3

Nomad Review

This disc is a beefcake meathook!  Generally speak, Divergent makes understable discs for those casual players just looking to have fun.  The understability lends itself to longer throws.  The Divergent Golem isn’t that type of disc.  Headwinds have no affect on the Golem.  Therefore, approaches can be done with great confidence that your disc will give a strong fade every time.  Backhands feel very comfortable with the low profile.  It does have a somewhat sharper edge but it doesn’t affect the shot.  On the other hand, forehands can all be done with great power and no flipping from the disc.  If you need a utility disc with a low chance for rolling away, the Golem is it.  -Tim N. Divergent Discs

Divergent Discs is different from other disc golf companies. While the focus of most disc golf manufacturers is on the professional player, our focus is on the casual every day player. Divergent discs are designed specifically for new and recreational disc golfers. If you’re young, old, or just like playing the occasional recreational round of disc golf these discs are for you. Here are a few reasons why you should consider trying Divergent Discs:
  • Simplicity – Divergent discs are simple. No need to be overwhelmed by all of the different plastic types and variations. Simple molds in bright basic colors and standard weights making it easy to choose and replace.
  • Easy to Throw – Divergent discs are designed for the average player. The average disc golfer does not throw 400+ feet, in fact survey results show that most people who play disc golf consider 300 feet a good throw. Most discs on the market are very overstable, because the molds are designed for professionals (their main marketing source) who need that kind of stability to handle their massive power. Divergent Discs are designed for the every day player. These discs will give you more control and distance than the average disc of the major brands.
  • Affordable – While other companies pay big dollars to professional disc golfers to market their brand, Divergent passes that savings along to you. Think of it kind of like name brand cereals. When you’re shopping the supermarket, you can pay for the premium brand cereal, the one that invests millions into advertising, or you can purchase the generic brand for substantially less.
