The Discraft Athena is the sixth disc in the Paul McBeth line from Discraft. It is an all-purpose overstable fairway driver with a light end-fade. The Athena can be used when distance is not as important as landing in exactly the right position. The Athena gives you excellent control. As with most things that have Paul McBeth‘s name attached, you can trust that this disc will be very overstable. Henceforth, this disc is reliable for those headwind shots.

The Discraft Athena is available in First Run ESP plastic.
The ESP line is Discraft’s Pro Caliber premium plastic and arguably one of the best plastics on the market. Additionally, it has an excellent grip and high durability. Additionally, this disc comes with in amazing assortment of swirls and colorful rings.
Nomad Review:
In typical Discraft fashion, the First Run Athena’s come in a wide array of jaw dropping color blends and patterns. I chose a green color because I always used to hear that green from Discraft was less stable. There is no proof on if that is true, but this disc was very overstable. I threw it with a full power backhand and it stood up much flatter than the protype version, even had some turn to it. On the other hand, I threw it with a forehand and it turned over for a nice s turn. The grip is comfortable with a small rim. This definitely fill a spot in my bag as most of my fairway drivers are stable to understable. Count on this to help you shape unique lines were overstability is a must.
