The AGL Discs Locust, the newest addition to our lineup, is a 9-Speed undercover distance driver. The Locust is quickly becoming one of our best selling discs of all time. We are truly amazed at how FAR this disc flies, and has been called the farthest flying disc in our lineup. This disc sports flight numbers of 9/4/-1/3 which makes this disc a very versatile fairway driver. The 4 Glide and -1 Turn mean this disc can stand up to some headwinds and still fly true. The Locust also provides that consistent and predictable left to right finish that can make all the difference when lining up a long drive. Whether you are looking for that perfectly placed drive, or just need more confidence in your throw; the Locust will be sure to take your distance game Above Ground Level.
Flight Numbers:
Speed: 9
Glide: 4
Turn: -1
Fade: 3
The AGL Locust is available in Alpine plastic.
The Alpine plastic is premium recycled polyethylene blend. Therefore, the blend meets or exceeds most other companies’ high end polymer blends. However, AGL’s recycles the plastic! We can and have done some more rare recycled blends mixed in with our Alpine; such as a strong Nylon polymer which we called Tundra (as it has a blue hue), and a very durable Acrylic polymer which we called Polar (as it was white and didn’t take to too many colors).

From the AGL Homepage:
AGL - Above Ground Level - is a family owned Disc Golf company, and we are the Bay Area's #1 Disc Golf Manufacturer. All of our products are "Made in the USA", and we are proud to help the Americans that manufacture our discs for us. We strive to give our players the best, most innovative, products on the market. AGL Discs
Since 2011, our team has been hard at work with our obsession to look at this sport from what we call the "10,000 ft level". We started creating our first driver, the Cypress, from scratch - both the plastic and the mold designs, and they have come a LONG, LONG way. Our 3D Printed Prototype that lead the way to our first production run made it easy to prove the performance of our unique designs. Those changes allowed us to cater our designs, to what we were hearing as desirable traits, for the players. Here at AGL, we will always be vigorously testing our products, and looking for new ways to improve this great sport.
We are not a large, multi-national company trying to make money off the "next big thing"; it's as far away from that as you can get! Above Ground Level is made up of The Jones Family, who work hard to ensure that each and every order gets handled with care and love. Andrea handles events, and promotions; as well as engaging with all our new accounts and providing excellent customer service. Our Warehouse Manager Ava (8yrs old) tells everyone around the office what to do, and she does inventory, packaging, and she even prints every single shipping label for our customers.
We now have a team with over 60 members, including both Pro Open and Amateur players from all ages, and all walks of life. Our team is more like a family and we support each other as much as possible. Check us out on the Facebook AGL Discs Fan Page! I think when we all go out and play, we want two things - a lot of fun, and usually we also want to have a great game, because sometimes that's not the same thing! So we get out as much as we can to test our discs and practice our movements. We play, and sponsor, courses all over the United States, Canada, Finland, and even Thailand!! Owner, Josh, has even helped design courses and is available for course consultation, or design help, at any time. See if you can spot us playing in a tournament some time! Come Say Hello!#TeamAGL
We're not afraid to turn the traditional designs inside out, upside down, or whatever else works to squeeze in every ounce of performance from our discs. Our customers know that every disc they buy from us has been designed on years of real world performance and twisting. By always willing to push the edge of the envelope, and integrating modern 3D workflows, we quickly take ideas and begin producing prototypes. This is what allows us to ensure high-quality, high-value products with extended research periods leading to short "time-to-market" once a design has been validated.
* Each of our discs will correspond to a specific seed/tree, and vice versa. Our first designs being the, Cypress driver, which is currently discontinued. We now have more molds and we still give a corresponding tree seed, with each AGL Disc purchase from us. AGL Discs stands behind our company commitment to provide unique products that are more durable than our competitors. This will maintain a proper flight path for a longer lifespan. We are sure you will be happy once you give us a chance!
We appreciate you taking the time to read this - and our website is a constant work in progress, so we also appreciate your patience. (IF you find something that needs fixing - let me know and I'll give you a surprise). Let's work together to grow the sport!
